Step Inside Dreamachine at Carlisle Memorial Church

A rad wolf

Dreamachine has opened its doors in Belfast at the spectacular Carlisle Memorial Church. It will be presented here, in partnership with NI Science Festival, from 25 July until 4 September 2022.

Carlisle Memorial Church is one of the city’s most striking buildings, with Dreamachine bringing it to life this summer as a vibrant community space. Built in the 1870s, the former church is the gateway to North Belfast. Owned and managed by Belfast Buildings Trust (BBT), the internationally recognised landmark sits at the heart of the trust’s work to connect people and place through cultural collaboration, community engagement and creative skills development. Dreamachine promises to be an awe-inspiring spectacle in this unique space.

Dreamachine’s most recent launch in Northern Ireland follows sold out shows in both Cardiff and London, with over 27,000 visitors having tried the experience so far.

It has already received coverage across many local and national outlets including The Belfast Telegraph, Belfast Live, The Irish News, The Independent, RTE News, The Irish Times. It had an especially thoughtful write up from Brian Coney in The Thin Air.

One participant has said ‘Experienced this earlier today. Memorable & beautiful. The music & the intense visual patterns were so uplifting. Every old neglected building in Belfast should be repurposed for such events. Truly healing.’

Tickets are going fast – book now to avoid disappointment.

Dreamachine will also be presented in Edinburgh from 13 August – 25 September.
